Everyone is always looking at the good side of life. Nothing bad about this but from my end, I will prefer ‘you look forward to’. Here, I am trying to talk about where the English term ‘delayed gratification’ can come in. This is where it gets much more difficult to comprehend. Save and or invest now and enjoy later has most times been ignored. The discipline to go through, the impatience; why not now? I mean there are a lot of things I can achieve right now with financial freedom. This could be you or maybe you heard it from someone else.
Ok, I am trying to build this article to focus more on where we are heading. Even the rich now share their wealth secrets but few still meet up to practice them. Coins have two sides but the majority wants to coin the coin.
We are heading straight into faith but at least, even those who dominate the world of business understand this mystery. Let's look at this Bible portion;
John 12:24 Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.
Let's also compare it with this other scriptures
Matthew 13:31-32 He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. [32]Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”
And maybe another too:
Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
By now I think we should have picked one or two things already. We have seen tough times, patience, sacrifice, delayed gratifications, long term value and so on.
So what do I have for you here; DON'T COIN IT. Do well to face your processes. I am mostly referring this article to those in the household of faith and maybe also to anyone who is willing to give his life to Jesus; there will be tough times.
John 16:33 NIV “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Did you see it; YOU WILL HAVE TROUBLE. Ok, this doesn't mean you should wake up to pray or look for one, NO, the take home here is, be ready to have resilience to weather coming storms.
Maybe this was me just also jumping into something else in the process. You have a better future in Christ so don't let current life situations discourage you.
Pray for strength to withstand; God is pruning you to come out in your best form. The value of gold is attributed after it has been tested by fire. Be strong in The Lord.
