Today I wanted to share one of my favorite coffee table designs that I made some time ago. When I thought of this design I wanted to see if it was possible to make the whole table using one continuous line, and in the same time make sure the table has its functions.
First I decided to use acrylic as the main material. The transparency allows you to appreciate the shape from different angles and you can see how the acrylic sheet ends in a twist in the center that also becomes a shelf for storing things under the table.
After trying out the design with acrylic I wanted to try some other materials as well. Below I chose smoked glass with a black shade.
While I like the look I still prefer the transparent material. For the last design I wanted to try using a laminated wood sheet.
Wood is always a nice choice, it tends to blend in well in most interiors, so I like this style as well.
