A new study indicates that vitamin K is effective in reversing stiffness in arteries. This seems intuitive because we know that Vitamin D + Vitamin K deficiency leads to arterial stiffness and calcification of the arteries. In fact many supplement companies know to include Vitamin D with Vitamin K with this in mind. So the lesson from these articles seems to be to avoid Vitamin K and Vitamin D deficiency and this is possible by either eating green leafy vegetables like Kale while sitting in sunlight or by taking a supplement. If you are a darker skinned individual then you probably will require a Vitamin D supplement as you may be more prone to deficiency but this is something a doctor probably ought to measure prior to confirm if you are.
