Psychedelic Art

HISTORICAL

In the 1960s, a counter-culture movement, psychedelia, was intended to recreate, in an awakened and concious manner, the distorted sensations produced by ingestion of drugs such as LSD. This movement and its creations are based mainly on sound effects and visual.

Although often associated with the hippie movement, psychedelia was in fact at that time more widespread, going as far as Europe, but also in Japan and even in Brazil!

It was in 1966, when the use of LSD spread to the young population, more apt to new discoveries than their predecessors, that the movement appears as such , despite the prohibition in 1965 of the consumption of LSD.

One of the main problems of the psychedelic movement was LSD, which caused the death of many adepts, including Syd Barrett of Pink Floyd.
