Standing proudly at about 738m above sea level, Mount Daraitan is a popular destination for hiking in the Philippines situated in Tanay, Rizal.
A trip to the peak is purely trekking, nothing adventurous but the scenery is enjoyable making it worthwhile. Starting with the breathtaking tinipak river, a trip to Mount daraitan is never complete without a side trip to the amazing river right there beside the mountain.
As with all mountain hiking, beholding nature from the peak of a mountain is rewarding in itself. Makes you wonder what else is been hidden from us at ground level.(sorry, just had to remember Jesus and the devil at the pinnacle of the temple looking over the world).
