Floating aka sensory deprivation can be an amazingly awesome experience, or a nightmare of one...
Depending on how prepared you are for it and where you go to do it.
Before we get into all that though, you may be asking, what exactly is it?
In short, an isolation tank, also known as a sensory deprivation tank, float tank, flotation tank, or sensory attenuation tank is a weightless, nearly soundproof tank filled with salt water (epsom salt) as close to skin temperature as possible.
The experience this type of environment creates is a pretty dang unique one.
BUT, before you just go jumping into a tank, be sure to give our video a watch.
Although a bit lengthly, we share some valuable insights into our experiences - what went really well and why, and what went not so well and why.
Also worth noting, this particular video is a couple of years old, but still very much relevant.
