Hi Steemit! I'd like to introduce Daily Millennial, an account dedicated to sharing a variety of great content including travel, food, and pop culture reviews. Here is my first post.

My best friend Rachel and I decided to visit Paris; We both had an overwhelming feeling that we were waisting away our twenties in tiny offices, and we were determined to break up the routine. It took a lot of planning and saving, but in the end, the tickets were bought, the hotel was reserved, and off we went.

Rach was so jet lagged that she forgot the most common french word.

We went to B9 Cafe across the street from the hotel. I wish I wasn't, but I am a picky eater so I got a burger and fries.

We had breakfast at Buvette almost every morning.

We had a great view of the city from the top of this building in the shopping center.

PI Hour was recommended to us by a local, and I would recommend it to you.

While admiring the beauty of Paris, the thing that stood out the most to me was the level of homelessness. I am not naive to the fact that there are going to be homeless people in a big city, but this was intense, because it was mostly children, old people, and entire families including their dogs. It was painful to walk pass them, and I felt guilty that I was there to enjoy their city. I screen shot these images from footage I had of just walking around.

The second most noticeable thing were the groups of armed soldiers patrolling the streets. They were everywhere! I never asked, but I'm guessing that the recent terrorist attacks was the reason for this.

We visited the museum. This was Rachel's idea. She wanted to see "the bones."

We got a bit lost and ended up in the building with the animal display.

But after some tiresome walking, we eventually found "the bones," and she was really happy about this.

Next was the Eiffel Tower. When I first saw it I wasn't convinced we were in the right place. I though it would be bigger than it was. However, it was something to see when it lit up.

It was a long day, time to eat.

On the last day we went back to the Eiffel, and I'm not sure why but it seemed much bigger in the day light.

I am a tad bit obsessed with historical royals, so excited doesn't begin to explain how I felt about going to The Palace of Versailles. Visiting in the off season didn't make a difference, it was still super crowded, but it was so worth it.

We ended our trip with dinner at B9 Cafe.
