CHANGES IN THE LEARNING CONCEPT BECAUSE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY EFFECT

The learning process is the most vital activity in the implementation of education. This makes learning must be well implemented in order to be able to achieve the goals that have been determined. The learning process also greatly influences the success of education, so learning must be done in order to run well.

Learning has undergone many changes along with the progress of the times. The once monotonous and homogeneous concept of learning has now changed and has many variations of the concept of learning that can be applied. The change in the concept of teaching and learning is primarily to increase success in achieving learning objectives. The concept of learning is designed to be more effective and faster in achieving goals that can improve the quality of learning and education.

• From a one-way interaction pattern where the teacher speaks and the student hears, becomes a model of interaction involving all the five senses.
• From a learning perspective whereby each student gains the same knowledge and experience, becomes an acquisition of varying and diverse knowledge.
• From a monotonous learning environment, to an interactive environment using various media and educational facilities.
• From isolated learning locations in the classroom and / or lab alone, a variety of teaching and learning areas.
• From a one-way flow of knowledge, to a multi-direction exchange of knowledge and competence.
• From passive mechanism of learning, becomes very active because of the multi-direction communication between all learners.
• From studying the factual and historical matters, it becomes a lateral thinking activity.
• From passive-based knowledge to be memorized, a decision-making exercise based on the variety of information obtained.
• From the discussion of a material science that is reactive, become more planned and holistic.
• From the discussion of past cases that have occurred and are historical and closed, become more authentic because contextual.
• From the context of an artificial event, it becomes a concrete event.

Changes from old learning concepts to new concepts due to the influence of information technology make learning more qualified. Implementation of learning becomes varied and flexible. Can be tailored to the circumstances and needs that make learning more effective.

Information technology makes communication run quickly, in its application to learning provides benefits facilitate and accelerate the process of information delivery and reciprocity between learners, teachers, and other learning implementers. This positive impact can accelerate to improve the accuracy of achievement of learning and education objectives.
