Just got this thing in the mail. Pretty exciting. It's different - mining Litecoin with Bitmain's miners now. The miner is significantly quieter than the S9 which is a plus.
Didn't really run into anything over complicated, no more complex than setting up one of the Bitcoin miners from Bitmain.
So this does lead me to wonder... now that all these Litecoin miners are being released into the public.. It's safe to assume that there will be more mining behind Litecoin, thus more coins will go into the marketplace.
If I had to speculate on how this would affect the price of Litecoin, I'd say that if anything it would increase the price. People are getting more coins. They're not necessarily going to dump all the coins they mine. It's not like Litecoin has a bad reputation. It has a rather good reputation especially in the light of Bitcoin's brash history.
Take for example the mind boggling scaling debate that Bitcoin has and still is going through. I think there is lots of room for growth with Litecoin. Yes there are many competitors with plenty of bells and whistles; but Litecoin does indeed have longevity and a solid history.
