I converted some SBD to Steem the other day to create a post on how it is more benificial to sell in on the Internal Market. It actually ended up creating 10x more Steem. I went back today to retake a couple of screen shots for my post and notice that the Convert to Steem option is no longer on the list? Anyone know if this is gone for good? Just seems strange.

My original purpose for this post was to inform Steemit users NOT to use the "convert to steem" option. For every 1 Steem you get from converting you were currently getting 10 Steem for selling the same amount of SBD on the Steemit open market.

Looks like the good people at Steemit decided rather than have me warn you about it, they would just eliminate it and ensure that all of its members get top value for thieir SBD. Even if other social media platforms did pay back its users, it is unlikely they would care enough to ensure that they are getting the best payback as well!
