Clusters of events — the strangest chain
of happenstance unfolding day by day:
the gnarlèd ebbing out unto the smooth,
the dark receding into brightward groove
whose featherline extends far heavenbound
to capture in fine crystalettes the sound
like glass unbreaking — sirens in reverse,
and slow, and low symphonic, unrehearsed:
the bliss of that dream-symphony of brain
where sense may settle — through the strangest chain.
