Huddling                                                        
                                         as if to become reabsorbed
By the sponge earth

          rewound into the heavens
                                       like a salvaged puppet
.
                                           siphoned off the surface,
rainbow soapsuds for
splattering predictability

                         in a canister of dysfunctionality
Squeezed                                                        
into a sterile tube  
                         to unsanitize laughter
to desecrate time
to unravel the mechanism

Holding
