What is Agrello?

What is important to note, in this new peer-to-peer economy, the existence of decentralised blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, Neo, Stratis is perfect for applications such as Agrello because they can execute applications in an automated and trustless environment. Before the advent of Bitcoin and Ethereum, let’s say you want to implement automated programs which can manage and automate the rental agreement and payment etc between landlords and tenants. Other than the actual business logic and user interface, you would write a massive amount of connector code to the middlemen or intermediaries such as banks, lawyers and property agents and convince them to use it! Now, with decentralised app platforms and their digital currencies & smart contracts, applications such as Agrello would reduce or even eliminate the need for middlemen in the creation and execution of the legal agreement.

Professional team from Estonia

The current team is helmed by an excellent mix of lawyers, academics and information technologists. Also noteworthy is Alex Norta, the Chief Scientist of Agrello, who has been developing the conceptual framework of smart contracts for more than 10 years and published several papers and books see link, link etc. They are also based in Estonia – a very forward-looking European country which is the first country to adopt digital voting back in 2005, offer e-citizenship, and is placed 14th globally in the 2016 WJP Rule of Law index. Estonia also produced Skype and its capital Tallinn has been dubbed the Silicon Valley of Europe (link, link).

Tallinn University of Technology, pictured above, is the nation’s leading academic institution in engineering, business, and public administration and where the core Agrello team is from.

Ready ecosystem for its app and DELTA tokens

Most importantly, Agrello is primed to enter into the legal services market which is just getting disrupted by technology as traditional law firms face increasing competition from tech startups with specialised legal products. A lot of these tech startups naturally focus on automation which is the easiest way to achieve higher efficiency by using code to do repetitive tasks. In the rental example above, it is considered a well-defined problem in legal services and there are scores of tech startups around the world who have produced all kinds of legal contract templates to target the lawyer to business (L2B) and consumer (L2C) markets (145,000 results for googling “legal template”). Agrello would have no shortage of templates and firms to provide the legal content. Together with the increasing free-lance or gig workers and startups which would naturally gravitate toward the cost effectiveness and efficiency, these users would form the ecosystem for Agrello and the demand and use of DELTA tokens.
