¿Qué es el topocho?
Tiene un nombre científico realmente bonito, Musa paradisíaca, que hace referencia a la gran variedad de plantas que pertenecen al género musa y que podemos comer sus frutos. En realidad el topocho es una variedad de plátano con origen en Asia meridional, aunque se hizo conocido al llegar al Mediterráneo en el año 650 d.C.
El topocho es una de las variedades de plátano más resistentes a la sequía. Tiene un aspecto más pequeño de lo normal, con un cuerpo casi recto y bastante grueso. Cuando llega a su estado maduro, la cáscara se vuelve amarilla y el interior adopta un color rosa claro.
