But there shouldn't stop me from coming up with ideas and dig deep into it ^^
But how much do any of you thing it would cost go convert a small village (20 houses or so) into a 100% sustainable and self-sufficient little village with no charge to the village itself (from my NGO at least) while also paying people remodling and rebuilding houses fair wages?
(Maybe even have a little lecture about Hive aswell ;))
I have been googling a bit and all of my values and prices is based on google and what I could find and they are rounded up. Average kwh used in India is according to google 5.7kwh in 2020.
But lets round up and lets say the average is 10kwh pr day.
If 10kwh is needed I would properly want to install between 5-6 190.Watts solarpanels from Loomsolar (Indian Company) each unit cost 9.5k RS which is 123 usd pr untit.
So what would be 615 - 738 usd, not that expensive!
But thats also only for 1 house and my math might be completely off since I don't know anything about India (Sowwie) and this is without a battery and people 100% need a battery!
Its also only based on 12 hours a day x)
I am just going to take the middle tier battery which costs 11.5k RS = 150 usd.
With the solarpanels and the battery pack we are looking at 888 usd pr house, so times 20 thats 17760 usd to possible make 20 houses in India 100% Green.
The materials are quite cheap, but I don't know about the labor cost.
I started this post feeling confidence in figuring this out!
But damn, all of the convertions killed me xD It was way harder than I thought.
(P.s. Feel free to correct my in any way since I am a complete noob to this)
