Hello, I wanted to share with you a true heartfelt story, it is about memories, from childhood, my grandfather and his farm. He past away when I was 5 so, it was some of my first memories. He would take me rides in his truck, while sitting on his lap, but allowing me to steer, this started a passion within me that carries on generations. He would also let me start his tractor, and drive that as well. My aunt had an old Fiat X19 behind her house in her driveway that I would as a very young boy sit in and pretend I was driving and racing. Also my dad had us in go carts and dirt bikes at an early age. Needless to say, it was a fond memory of my growing up. I never really understood anything other than horsepower and the engineering aspect thrilled me, working the switches, keys and levers energized me.
To this day my love for vehicles is strong, and my two sons share in that passion, I can now realize the happiness my grandfather and dad felt when letting me get behind the wheel and the thrill it brought to me, because I felt it with my older son who is a drifter now, and rides motocross, his passion for engines and mechanics drove him to a career in the marines that is associated with body work and mechanics of all sorts of cool vehicles. My 3 year old owns a 1966 John Deere we restored, and he sits on my lap and steers as I did with my grandfather. He has the passion, when he hears my mustang GT start up, he gets as excited as I did when my dad started up the go cart or whatever we were driving. It is an important tradition for me and my family and I am proud that we all have this in common.
