Mathematically, inflation has made the Nickel ($.05, five-cent/penny) a half-cent/penny. The dime is next. They keep moving the decimal goalpost. In Canada, in the 1800s one could get a hardy breakfast for one Copper Canadian cent. One is huge, like 1 inch (25.4 mm) in diameter.
