While looking for a couple of hundred dollars worth of investment, I found these fractional Silver coins, at the Local Coin Shop, at close to spot Silver price. Some are over a hundred years old, all are over seventy years old. Silver prices are up, but I still think that Silver is a good investment. I am always on the lookout for Silver, World War II, Five Cents "Nickels". I picked 80 out of maybe 1,000, at $1 USD, each. From 1942 through 1945, Silver was substituted for the copper and nickel needed for the war effort. The obvious mint marks were to identify the coins as being Silver and to be recalled after the war. But these beauties stayed in circulation for decades, until the price of Silver, well you know... At about 0.05625 troy oz, about 18 would exceed one Troy Ounce of Silver.
