Baron Gautsch was the passenger paraglider of Austrian Lloyd. Built in 1908, On 13 August 1914, at 2:45 pm, ran into a minefield laid by Austro-Hungarian Navy and sank.
The Baron was in the military service but was carrying the civilians when he was sunk
More than one hundred years have passed since this event.
It is considered to be the first victim of the First World War.
Baron Gautsch is the most beautiful location for underwater scuba diving in the whole Adriatic see and it protected by the law of the republic of Croatia as a national treasure.
