Top Gun and Top Gun: Maverick

I watched two movies today. Normally, my plans were just to watch Top Gun: Maverick in the cinema and then pick up my daughter from school and spend the rest of the day together, but there can be deviations from the plans.

When my daughter had other plans with her friends, I had to update my own plans, and with the trigger of Top Gun: Maverick, I watched the movie Top Gun with the effect of being alone at home. I remember watching Top Gun more than once in the past, but when I watched Top Gun: Maverick, I wanted to make a new reminder.

Top Gun: Maverick, the sequel to Top Gun, had the best sequel I've seen recently, without breaking with the story. Some scenes in the movie included the reminder and post-reminder sequel of the Top Gun movie.

By placing a thinner paper on a piece of paper, the pattern of the bottom paper was drawn, and the missing areas seemed to be completed on the next paper. From this it would not be correct to conclude that the movie is a copy, because a new story was added to the existing personalities and events, and the flow of the Top Gun: Maverick movie was ensured. In this respect, it stands out both as a sequel and as a new movie. Whatever was left unfinished in the first movie continues from where it left off in the second movie. But I add once again that the new story continues with the traces that time leaves on the players. The addition of new players to the old cast can also be seen as a blending of Top Gun with Top Gun: Maverick.

When it comes to Top Gun, whether it's the first movie or the second movie, having Tom Cruise on the ground is like dreaming a surreal dream. This possibility appears in the second movie and it is a complete disappointment. Tom Cruise is asked to train Top Gun graduating pilots for a seemingly impossible mission, but he's still a top-notch pilot.

While watching Top Gun: Maverick; If it's such a dangerous mission, why instead of using the best pilot you have, he is asked to leave him on the ground and train other pilots in a limited time frame? This question haunted me until the last moment of the movie. Fortunately, I managed to get the answer to the question when the last half hour of the movie was entered.

Being a fighter pilot was one of my childhood dreams. As I got older, that changed, and I'm no longer very sympathetic to warplanes. For any target on the ground, warplanes are deadly machines. The movie made me remember these facts once again. In the movie, it is stated only as targets that need to be destroyed, but it is a fact that there are living people in every destroyed target. Most of the scenes take place in simulation for educational purposes. The taste of the movie is given with the destruction mission for uranium enrichment facilities in the last episode. The flavor it leaves proves that the movie is worth the watch time and the money paid for the ticket.

After the movie I watched at Ayd谋n Forum Cinema, I came home and watched Top Gun on the internet. It wouldn't be right to make a comparison between the two movies because Top Gun: Maverick really deserves to be a sequel feature. Thinking of it as a continuing life instead of making comparisons will increase the enjoyment of the movie.

1986 and 2020, when the time between the two films is considered, we can see that the average human life is half. As I mentioned in my last movie review, I should watch some movies I missed from pre-1990 and refresh my memory on some. It will be possible to see the change in the roles played by the cinema and actors more clearly. When I find time, I may need to go back to earlier dates to delve deeper into this change. The beauty of the buddha cinema is immortalized when any actor/actress leaves behind a good movie to watch.
