The sense of curiosity about some issues can be the force that pushes us to do things that we know will have bad consequences. Just because of our curiosity, we can exhibit behaviours that we do not have in mind. We can do activities that we think we would never do. The real reason for all these and similar behaviours is curiosity about someone or something, and curiosity is a difficult behaviour to control.

Curiosity can be instructive as long as it does not lead to contrary and harmful behaviour. I think I have more than enough curiosity to learn. Now, if I say Israel & Palestine to you and keep silent; everyone has hundreds of sentences that they can produce in their own way. But everyone should calm down because this article is not about judging, insulting, insulting or offending anyone! Let everyone keep his/her contrary opinion, if any, to himself/herself and keep his/her political, ideological and religious opinions within his/her own boundaries. We are not looking for right or wrong here, instead I am sharing my opinions with my fellow cinema lovers as a result of watching a film out of curiosity.

I have no grudge or hatred against anyone. I want it to be known that I watch the film without prejudice!

The film Strangers is about the 6-day love story of an Israeli man and a Palestinian woman living in France who meet by chance on the Berlin metro during the World Cup Final in Germany.

The subject of the film alone is enough to arouse curiosity because I have seen films where children of hostile families fall in love, where young people of different faiths and sects fall in love. The reason why I was more curious here was because I was curious about the familiar reasons between the two countries and how they would be reflected in the film.

Before going into details, I would like to share my general thoughts about the film. I think it was a bold step and had a remarkable interest because the subject matter was sensitive enough to be taken on a very thin line. I can say that the plot of the film is excellent, but I can't use this word or a word close to it for the film in general. The film was very passive and did not give the audience anything but a tense wait.

Like the plot, the way the two young people met and the place of meeting were beautiful. Thanks to their mixed backpacks on the subway, they had a common point and reason to meet each other. Their problems were also common because both of them were having trouble finding a place to stay in Berlin because of the world cup final, which seems to be a reason that fuelled and accelerated their love.

The story, which starts in such a beautiful setting, becomes mediocre and then offers almost no flavour to the audience. They don't engage in much dialogue about why the love they experience is contrary to what I expected. I thought that both of them would bring a culture of discussion by putting themselves in the other's shoes. In addition, it is difficult to call the film a love or romantic film because of their love, which is mediocre even compared to the most mediocre love film. The producer and director may have been very careful because the subject was very sensitive, but if so, wondering why they handled such a sensitive subject may be a continuation of my curiosity about the content of the film.

My curiosity at the beginning of watching the film Strangers was replaced by the view that "it's okay if it happens or not". In other words, the film stays at such a middle point that I cannot understand and explain how there is a difference between watching and not watching. Maybe the tensions between the two countries are like the feeling the film gives. The film, which I find unnecessary in terms of narration and showmanship, is as unnecessary as the tension between the two countries. But it is also perfect in terms of subject and beginning! As a result, I am glad that I watched the film to satisfy my curiosity.
