Today I want to talk about why I am becoming a content creator on Steemit. Part of the reason is the reason why I think Steemit is beneficial for its users. Not only does Steemit distribute the profit generated by the site to its users, but it also incentivizes them to become content creators. I think this is great because to many people are living passive lives, scrolling through their feeds and consuming without question. On Steemit, it is possible to do this, however, it makes you very aware of the value of your time and how you could use it for your own profit. This means that instead of spending time consuming, you can spend that time creating. This incentive to be a creator is a gift to the world that Steemit may not have realized it is giving. If everyone in the world focuses on creating more in the world than they consume, we will live in a more productive society.
But that's not all!
The rest of the reason that I am starting to create content is that it is important to learn to put yourself out in the world. The most successful people are those who can do this well. Being good at what you do is only half the battle. Communicating what you do to others is equally, if not more important. Therefore, to become a better communicator, I am going to share my ideas so that I can improve that skill. I would urge everyone to become content creators and to help others improve their content. High standards in a addition to a support network for creators is a great way to improve the quality of our community's productivity.
