This was taken after the late Lee Kuan Yew, long time founding father of Singapore, had passed. Singaporeans queued up for hours to pay their last respects to him and when I say hours, I mean durations between 4-10hours. Hence during that time some people weren't well prepared and were in want of food/water.
It was hence a pleasant sight to witness strangers looking out for their neighbors, passing food/water to those who brought less.
