This whole situation with insolvency of Stakecube caught me by surprise. In Polish we say 'I got caught with my hand in a chamber pot'. Yes, I did lose some funds, but nevertheless I knew what risk was involved and I'm happy I didn't go full in. The deamon of greed was domesticated a bit. I'm angry because a month ago I wrote a post about me not liking the proof of Reserves the Stakecube had published (it's even worse now) and I wrote that I'm considering pulling my funds off... I thought about it, actually decided but haven't done it... Until it was too late.
But let's focus on this project. The Stakecube's team says they are trying to get things together and I'm sceptical, but will keep on with this project to lure the Stakecube into the last resort of joining Hive and listing it. I believe it might provide a additional revenue, that is (or should be) needed in their situation.
At least I hope so.
At least this is what I would do if I were honest about trying to keep the service running.
If they aren't honest, we loose nothing, but in this case I need to think about what to do. Maybe it's time to change the project aim and focus on plan B - Wikipedia.
On the other hand I wish the Stakecube staff has some sort of a plan to make users whole (or as close to whole as possible) and Hive can provide a way to help them by both author rewards and by using HBD savings APR.
I'm really looking forward to some comments here.
Of course this project or even whole Hive can't help recover 800 BTC, but can make a difference for Stakecube's users.
The bear market is far from over, but I think we will experience some stability, which is good for rebuilding...
