Stuck in Splinterlands Bronze? Silver, feeling like a distant dream? Yeah, I feel you. Seriously, I started diving into tournaments just to face real people... been getting tired of getting stomped on by the Bots in Wild. Can't a guy get a real fight around here?

So, naturally, when a new Epic card drops, hope flickers. Can the new Epic, Tasoshi Drakamoto, turn the tide and help climb the ranks with those pesky meta decks... or will it just be another voucher-fueled letdown? Let's dive in.

Tasoshi's Toolkit - What Does She Bring to the Table?

First, the basics. Tasoshi Drakamoto is an 8-mana Fire unit that hits with Magic. And her most significant tool... Sneak! She starts at level one with 2 magic attack and sneak, level 3 get you inspire and level 4 put the magic attack up to 3, so the potential is there to be a powerful force. On paper, these stats look... promising. The most important part of this is the sneak. But it will be for naught if she has no teeth.

Sneak: Can snipe backline healers... in theory. The only problem is if she is going to live that long because then there is NOTHING!
Inspire: +1 Melee? That has the potential to be clutch, right but you need to survive to get it at the higher level. Maybe throw sneak into a dragon team, and all of a sudden, your melee monster is doing some serious damage!
Stun: 50% chance to stun has some good odds, but some odds just don't seem to go your way. Right?
Spite: The obvious play is that if she dies, she takes YOU with her! But is that what will truly happen when the time comes.

So, what is the best play? Dragon? Fire? Throw Agor Longtail in the mix. It's theory crafting time. What is the best path?

Reality Check - No Card is a Guaranteed Win

Before you blow all your DEC on vouchers, let's be real. Tasoshi has some weaknesses

Mana Cost: Does she even compete with core Fire staples? You got your hands full trying to weave everyone in to play at once! This is the battle with ever play as you are trying to make sure everyone comes to the battle prepped how they need to be.
Counters: You will likely have a great team... all fully equipped and fully prepared, but you will have counters thrown your way. Mitigate those situations through building a plan.
RNG IS RNG: Not much to say here... enough said.
Level: Yeah, it will be an amazing pull when you get that black foil... but leveling regular cards will cost... I suggest just trying to grind those cards as fast as possible if you plan on being active in the mid to high-level scenes.
