This is the Philippine's National Animal, the Carabao. An epitome of hardwork and industriousness. Carabaos throughout history are mainly used for plowing furrows usually for rice fields, corn and sugar plantation in the rural areas. Might as well used for transport of loads for trade, even folks would ride on it or by balsa. Balsa is a carabao driven cart. Due to modernization and technology, the use of carabao in the feilds became more depleted. Nowadays, the animal is used as draft for milk. Though not adviseable, some use it for meat.
