The crystal monolith recovered by the Tsar in the aftermath of the Tunguska Event was to spell his undoing. The crystal – which we now know contained human-adaptive DNA spore matrix – had been accidentally activated and spawned a vengeful alien creature, codename: L.E.N.I.N.
