It鈥檚 amazing how something would look like if you take colors out of it.
I took this photo earlier today while I鈥檓 on my way to work. I鈥檓 out of words and out of breath (I climbed the stairs panting, haha!). I paused for a while, took a picture, and took my time to appreciate the view.
The photo looks like it was taken 10-20 years ago. It makes me wonder how this place looked like back then - were the trees already that big before? Was there any improvement to the streets and cable lines? Was there someone who thought of people that would eventually notice the view in the future? I don鈥檛 know and I wouldn鈥檛 know...
The quote above gives me some kind of realization. There are people in the present who take things for granted, people who like to put things off, people who live in the shadows, and people who couldn鈥檛 see that life is wonderful and livable. There are people who take away the colors in their lives and colors out of other people鈥檚 lives.
Am I one of them? Sometimes, I guess.
There are times in our lives that we couldn鈥檛 avoid to feel and be those kinds of people. Times of struggle, times of pain, times of doubt, and times of shame. We need to get through those times and hope that everything will be better, one step at a time.
Are we living in the present? Or are we living like how we should be in the past? We need to think about it, we should think about it.
