In my circle of family and friends I'm almost the only one that is in the crypto world. I'm also the only one who has tried any type of day, swing or currency trading of any type. Only one like minded friend purchased some BTC, LTC and ETH as well as some stocks when I told her about it and thankfully she is well in profit by now. That's it, just one friend is even remotely involved.
I've mentioned bitcoin to some other friends and family during general investment conversations but it's almost as if they don't hear me. It just gets passed over without much question or curiosity. I don't push it because I'm not interested in going any further if they aren't curious in the first place. It would be a waste of my time anyhow.
After years of knowing them I know what kind of minded people they are. They don't go much off the beaten path with things. If I told them about crypto currency and mining and the other sites they would tell me it sounds fishy and I'm probably getting involved in scams. I don't need an ear full of that. I know the risks, I'm just not scared.
My attitude is if I lose a few hundred dollars trying this or that life stays the same. It is just the cost of education. However if something starts working life changes for the better. That's a risk worth taking.
So to you I ask, are you the only one?
Is if for the same type of reasons if you are?
Why do people who have probably lost, in one way or another 5 times the amount of money I've spent trying my hand at this type of stuff not take interest?
The reward is freedom but somehow it is not worth the risk?
