Transportation offers numerous benefits that we have come to depend on it whether we are traveling or transporting goods from one place to another. Although the industry has witnessed massive technological revolution but there are still some problems inherent in the industry. One of the major problems of the transportation industry is that it is centralised and controlled by a number of companies. These companies decide and detect what happens in the industry not minding the implications of their actions.

Cab hailing has become so predominant that just at the push of a button a cab will be waiting at your door step. But there are times when conditions like an adverse weather change results in cabs not being easily accessible and price fares rising exponentially. And when you are in a hurry, you don’t have any other choice than to pay the huge fare. Drivers on the other hand are not left affected as these monopolistic companies make it difficult for them by controlling the number of rides they make per day, their earnings, only paying them a small fraction from the revenues.

Redcab, a blockchain based global transportation platform intends to put all of this to an end through the use of Blockchain, smart contracts and artificial intelligence. Leveraging these technologies, Redcab aims to make transportation a lot more secure, safer, transparent and cheaper. By employing smart contracts in order to automate the entire transportation process, the need for middlemen will be eliminated and this will result in a more faster, secure and cheaper transportation services. Taxi drivers will enjoy extra earning, more transportation options and rides per hour and other incentives like earning of tokens through proof of driving.
