I guess I started this whole Hive journey off without RTFM'ing, as I didn't know the best place to start was with an #introduceyourself post, and instead dove in with reposting my crypto content off my website. So I guess I should take a step back and write up a proper introduction post and take it from there.
Thanks to @fionasfavourites at
@lovesniper for randomly finding my other first posts and flagging the "correct" way to go about this to me. I'm relatively new to the crypto game in general, and this whole Hive ecosystem is definitely something that is going to take a little learning to get under my thumb.
A little about me, I've spent a little over a decade working for a large telecommunication vendor. I wear a number of hats, but in general I am a senior PBX technical service engineer. I spend my days fixing phone system issue at places like call centers, banks, and other businesses that require large phone systems.
I'm also a fairly competent programmer, doing a lot of my work in C# .NET, but I can hold my own in other languages. Most of the stuff I write is for myself, or some internal tools at my job to make our lives easier, that sort of thing. I've always lacked the "idea" part of being able to monetize that particular skillset.
Recently, I've started looking into crypto as an investment, something to throw very small amounts of money into over a long period and let it pay off. Maybe dabble in day trading a bit, but so far, that part has lead to nothing but disaster.
I then discovered there was ways you could actually earn crypto as well. I started with putting my longer term investment strategy into Cardano (ADA) here at first, so I can build that up while staking. I like their technology, I like that I can earn a small amount of interest. Cardano had my vote from the start, and I'll be throwing that small amount of money I invest into it for now until I have a decent little pile build up.
Then I decided, hey, I should start a little website with a blog, and write about this stuff as I'm learning, so I threw up https://ninjawingnut.xyz/, started writing some posts up, and pushing it out there using some new social media accounts. Keep the new crypto stuff a little separate from my gaming and other hobby accounts.
Then I found myself on Publish0x (Affiliate Link) / Publish0x (Non-Affiliate Link), and found out people will actually tip you for writing some articles they find useful. And then someone on there pointed me to here (thanks @failingforwards) and here I am.
This seems like it might be more than just reposting my stuff from my website to here, as there seems to be a lot more on this platform than just hoping to monetize my posts (don't get me wrong, money is nice, but it seems like there is more here than some quick cash).
I will need to continue to look around the site and learn everything I can about Hive and see where this takes me! Feel free to drop me a line, or track me down on my social medias/sites:
