The world’s first genuine bitcoin (BTC) bond will be launched by two European companies.
The said BTC bond will be regulated and fall under the purview of the United Kingdom’s regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and will be issued by Luxembourg-based Argento and London’s Block Exchange (LBX).
The Argento-LBX bond represents a first in regulator cryptocurrency products in that it contains no fiat exposure for investors as well as the first crypto product to have its own ISIN code and available via Bloomberg Terminal.
Benjamin Davies CEO at LBX states that this is an excellent product for people who currently hold bitcoin and are not planning to sell their holdings the next few years.
