Ethereum Classic (ETC) has been surging for the past several days climbing from around $5.50 to roughly $7.30 at the time of this writing, sitting at the 16th spot by market capitalization.
One of the reasons perhaps for this bullish price movement is the upcoming Atlantis fork that is scheduled next month at around September 13 to improve security and to ensure compatibility with Ethereum.
Another reason for the upside price movement is perhaps the entry of London-based token investment group North Block Capital who joined the Studio Program of Blockchain developers organization Ethereum Classic Labs (ETC Labs).
Lastly, the annual Ethereum Classic Summit is scheduled for October 3-4 in Vancouver, Canada, such events usually have positive effects on the price in the run-up to an event such as this.
