What is Bitradio
Bitradio is a service that allows people to earn cryptocurrency, BRO coins, for listening to the radio. There are hundreds of radio stations to choose from, and from all around the world. If you have a favourite radio station, there is a solid chance that it is featured on Bitradio so you might as well earn some crypto for listening.
The Bitradio currency, BRO, is a Proof of stake and Masternode coin. You need 2500 BRO to set up a Masternode so In my opinion, instead of simply buying BRO coin like I would recommend for most other Masternode coins out there, I recommend just listening to music and staking your earning until you achieve the 2500 coins for the masternode. Although currently the coins are only worth 16 cents, it could go up a bit so it is worth it to aim for that Masternode. I very much doubt BRO will ever hit any substantial amount but every little helps, it could help finance other investments.
Setting up Bitradio
- First things first, you need to go to the Bitradio website and sign up for an account.
- Then, from the homepage you need to download the Bitradio wallet. The wallet is compatible with Mac, Linux and Windows and installation is easy on all platforms. Now is a good time to password protect and encrypt your wallet, so go ahead and do that now. Synchronisation of the blockchain can take a long time, so be patient. While the wallet is syncing you can move on to step three.
- The third and final step is to go back to the Bitrad website and start checking out their radio stations. If you find one you like or would like to try, simply select it and press the play button, and there we are, you are now earning from listening to music.
At any point, you can check your stats on the dashboard to see how much BRO you have earned. Don't worry if the balance hasn't shown up in your wallet yet even if it has fully synchronised with the blockchain, it can take a little time to be deposited, especially at the beginning.
There you have it, folks! A fun way to earn crypto from listening to music. I've been testing Bitradio for a while now and I have to say I'm enjoying it. I don't know how long it will take to get the 2500 BRO I am aiming for but to be honest I am not that worried, it is using up next to no computing power so it is not costing my anything. I will keep you updated in a few months time to let you know how I'm getting on with Bitradio.
