Seed distribution is based on plots occupied. If more seeds are hoarded seed distributions would be more frequent as less seeds are being planted. I am not planning on say buying up all the seeds and am not sure if what I am doing will have an effect on the game as a whole (except for me).

But for fun lets say I am a whale and want more frequent seed distributions. I'd buy up all the seeds and hoard. This way no one is planting and the seeds will keep flowing in.
That's not what I am doing though. That would be a terrible strategy for the economy of the game. I am just picking up bargains to sell slightly higher, or give away at a later time when they are more valuable. (buy low ,sell high)
