What is suprising to me is that one of the biggest business magazines in the world, Business Insider, has written an article on Ripple. They recognized the fact that in the first half of 2017 it rose over 3,000% and reached an all time high of 8,000%, and it's not just Business Insider its also CNBC, Futurism, Coin telegraph and Finextra and many more.
Right now Ripple is just partnering with banks for future use and trying to merge the Ripple Interledger Protocol on top of the bank's current system, so that they can execute cross border payments at a much cheaper and faster rate. (Saves banks 60% on processing fees due to the elimination of the nostro accounts, and completes transactions in under 8 seconds)
In Japan, 61 banks are in a consortium with the Ripple system, which is 80% of all of japanese banks. Not only do they want to use it for cross border transactions, but they also want to use it to complete domestic payments. So we can assume that Ripple will be used by masses of banks in Japan. Not to mention that one of the biggest banks in the United States,Bank of America,is working with Ripple.
Ripple would provide faster and cheaper payments and increase customer satisfaction. If you are want to buy a property in another country it wouldn't take 5-6 business days, would take a mere 8 seconds.
I know a lot of investors and traders in the cryptocurrency community don't like Ripple because they are working with banks and banks will continue to screw us over until they are dead because we would become our own central bank using cryptocurrency. I don't really like that Ripple is helping banks, but whether we like it or not most of the world will continue to use banks because it is convenient for the average person. When many banks start announcing that they are officially using Ripple that price will go to the moon, forget the moon, it's going to mars baby.
Only 20 cents? I think that is a steal and it is highly undervalued.
