On-ramp to Hive Engine with Crypto through Tribadex: A step-by-step guide
I needed to get hold of some LEO for today's #lpud, and I am prepared to pour in some new fiat.
There are many ways to buy crypto with fiat. For some reasons, it is easiest for me to get hold of LTC and I love it for its low transaction fees. Of course, it is also fast enough to stop me from imagining if my token transfer disappeared into thin air.
This is what I used to do. Sometimes I would just take out my credit card and buy Hive Transak. Other times, when I can be bothered, I would buy my LTC using fiat and then transfer to an exchange that has Hive. Once I am there, I had to sell my LTC to USDT, and then use USDT to buy Hive. Once done, I send that Hive to my account. If it is for the layer 2 Hive-Engine I also have to convert it to Swap.Hive, before getting down to changing to buy LEO!
Gosh! I don't even want to know how much it cost me in transaction fee, as the thought of making all those transactions just increased the chance of making mistakes, and tedious enough.
I discovered a better way today, at least in my opinion. And that is to use the service Tribaldex https://tribaldex.com/wallet/ is offering.
Reach out to the wallet and then click Deposit.
You will be greeted with the message below.
There you will see a variety of tokens that can be deposited. You will see some common ones like $BTC, $DOGE, $BCH, $ETH, $BNB, etc.
Of course, I am here for $LTC. To calculate the fee multiply the LTC transferred by 0.00075. The LTC address that is tied to my Hive-Engine account is generated below and the $LTC sent went into SWAP.LTC.
From there, I do the usual stuff in the DEX to swap to SWAP.HIVE, and bought my LEO for #lpud.
This is how I can alternatively on-ramp my fiat. Not sure if its cheaper, but works well for me, for now.
