Creating Hive Communities: To tokenize or not to tokenize?
After finding out that communities can be easily created, and tokens can be created at a small cost, I am confronting the next question:
To tokenize or not to tokenize?
There is a need to make some sense out of this.
The 100 BEE cost is not expensive, at least for me. So cost is not a big deciding factor.
Now the pros:
Having additional rewards in the form of a community token is definitely great. Even if I don't know where it will go, it might be going somewhere that is ultra lucrative in the long run. That is plenty of potential upside with a 100 BEE investment, coupled with the effort one makes in growing the community. Imagine what happens if the community grows to an unbelievable size!
And the tiny cons: It can appear complicated and turn off new users.
But hey, if it is clearly explained that one can treat the community tokens as a bonus on top of what is earned as HIVE, no one would be complaining.
So in conclusion, social tokens are a way of the future, judging by how the other social tokens projects like $XCAD and $RLY have shown their potential.
I should be loading up on some BEE tokens soon. Imagine if celebrities, projects, companies, organisations start wanting a following on Hive that can also benefit their followers! This platform is ready for text-based contents, and beats the current social media platforms hands down on.
