Beer Report #13 – kwak

Hello BelgianChef (cryptospeak) here,

My thirteenth beer report will be a report on the beer Kwak. I had this one for the first time about two weeks ago at my local bar. It's an unique beer because it's presented with a special glass and a wooden glass holder. Back in the 19th century they made it so that carriage driver could attach his Kwak to his carriage because some drivers couldn't leave their carriage, hence the glass and holder. Another special thing about the beer is that if you take a big slug from a glass that's nearly empty you will hear a 'kwak' sound.

Information about the beer

Kwak is an amber, caramel, fruity, herby, slight bitter tasting beer. It's brewed at the Bosteels brewery (the brewery has another delicous beer, another report coming soon) in Bruggenhout, Belgium.

Made from

Water, wheat, white candy sugar, hops and malts.
