Ethereum, the second most used cryptocurrency in the world, fell Thursday to its lowest level in August 2017, reaching $ 226. Today, when I am posting this, went bellow $ 200, but now seems to pass over it a little bit. Still, where it will go from here nobody knows...

Compared to Wednesday's quotation, today's rate is about 15%. And compared with the January quotation, today's price is over $ 1000 less - on 14 January, an Ethereum was selling over $ 1,300.

Thursday's decline is the continuation of a devaluation process started on May 6, when an Ethereum was quoted at $ 777. Gradually, his quote fell to $ 568, $ 459, $ 410, $ 300, and finally $ 200. This development has experienced minor momentum improvements, but all have been short-lived.

The decrease in Ethereum's value coincided with an identical evolution of Bitcoin, the most commonly used cryptocurrency in the world. It suffered a devaluation of about 8% compared to yesterday's quotation, the value of a Bitcoin being currently about $ 6,400 - yesterday it had been $ 6,961.

In conclusion it seems that these days all the cryptocurrencies are going down the drain. While we need to keep positive, it is hard not to be affected by the market downfall. And while there are steps performed towards large scale adoption, it is weird that the market cannot hold on it. But, will need to wait and see as I am sure that it will come a time to rise again, only to have patience for that.
