GoldMint, a crypto startup that lets the users invest in gold and store it in the form of a cryptocurrency, welcomes new advisors to the company’s board.
One of the newest joiners of GoldMint is Charlie Shrem, a Bitcoin pioneer and a significant figure in crypto community. Mr. Shrem was one of the first adopters of bitcoin, he founded the cryptocurrency exchange BitInstant together with Gareth Nelson in 2011. According to Fortune, at a certain phase of BitInstant, the company handled about one-third of the total bitcoin transactions. Mr. Shrem is also working to create a Dash-loaded prepaid debit card. Now, he is determined to help the GoldMint team in their project.
Not just helping the team, Daniel Kottke is joining the advisory board of GoldMint. Mr. Kottke is known as a college friend of Steve Jobs and one of the first to join Apple as an employee. Soon after Jobs asked him to help in a hobbyist computer project, Daniel Kottke joined Apple as a part-time employee in 1976 – being the first part-time emloyees with Jobs’ sister – and joined as a full-time employee in 1977 after his graduation from Columbia.
In addition to Daniel Kottke, GoldMint welcomes Russian billionaire Leonid Boguslavsky on the company’s board of advisors. He is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the investment firm ru-Net. In 2011, Forbes listed Mr. Boguslavsky as one of the most important players in Russia’s booming Internet scene. According to the publication, as of today, Mr. Boguslavsky’s real-time net worth is standing at $1.06 billion. He also has an astonishing academic career behind him: Mr. Boguslavsky received PhD and doctorate in computer science.
With a strong advisory board and famous people helping the organization’s project, GoldMint’s ICO is still on its way. The ICO started at September 20, however, there are still nearly two weeks left until the crowdsale ends. GoldMint has achieved a stable progress with over $4.6 million collected since the start of the token sale.
