I think you can also use red hot chili pepper for a natural insecticide solominer@solominer, you grind it and make it a spray and I guess that no borer insect or grub will ever eat the trunk of that Peach tree :D
I wish that I have a tree like that I used to eat half a Peach everyday too :)
