My Father asked me to buy him a basic mobile phone, just a thing he could use to call and text because he was complaining to me way back at the hospital after my surgery with my Appendix.
My father told me that his phone has a bad keypad already and the battery dies after less than a day. The bad thing was that even if I could be able to buy it a new battery we will have a problem with the faulty keypad since that phone has no longer have an available spare if not hard to find. So since he wants a new basic phone I will just have to buy him one.
He has this Smartphone that my Niece gave him to surf the web. He always watches videos from either youtube or facebook and I guess that he is like a kid from the 70's and then given a gadget then voila! instant technology at his finger tips :D
But I guess that he doesn't know how to surf the web still because what he does is to just watch videos, even wrestling! and I will not try to discourage or spoil him on watching that because when I was just a kid I am really entertained by watching wrestling.
Unfortunately after learning that it was just for show or "fake" well it basically spoiled my liking unto it from the early 90's up to now. But my father's passion for watching wrestling never fades and I am really envying him for that matter.
Anyway I am just a bit honored in buying my father his phone because among his children I was the one he requested from in buying him his phone. I mean I should be the last one that he should request it since I am not only disabled but I also needed money.
But of course how I could say no to my father? He was always there to support me although not all the way but with all his capacities he is just ready. Unfortunately for me my parents can only help much but I am still so thankful for both of them, I want them to be around as long as I am still around because you know, i will be in so much bigger trouble if I would lose one or both my parents before my time, I can't just imagine that situation.
Anyway I am just happy to buy my father his phone. The phone is a "Philips" brand with a better battery capacity so he won't charge it ever so often. I couldn't buy him a Nokia phone because that is not what he likes. He might end-up butchering it especially if he doesn't like a thing or two from it. So I decided to buy him a similar phone that I bought for my mother about two or three years ago.
Now my mother's phone is old and I am waiting for her to complain about it until maybe it is time to level-up her phone to a better one that she can also use to video call my Aunt down south where my Aunt lives so that at least she has something to use to communicate with and not using my father's smartphone anymore.
