It's a film that takes you by the hand of an unpopular girl. She downloads an app to get noticed by the guy she likes. The plot is simple: once you're in the app, challenges appear that you have to complete and broadcast live from your phone. If you complete them within a set time, you can claim a cash reward and move on to the next challenge.
Actually, when the protagonist enters the app, you enter the movie too. You get on her roller coaster, and if you blink, you lose the thread. The pace is frantic and addictive, and scene after scene keeps you on edge.
Visually, it's a splurge of spectacular imagery: New York seen from above with its night lights glittering in the background.
In the sequences where we see the viewers' screens following the live streams, you feel like a real participant in the game.
Furthermore, the film delivers a light but very accurate critique of the culture of exposure for likes and followers. The actors are believable and, in the most intense passages, they exude genuine chemistry; they become honest, real, and relatable characters.

If, on the other hand, you're looking for pure entertainment, don't expect a slow film or an existential reflection on life. It's made to lounge on the sofa, snack on something, and let yourself be carried away by the speed and adrenaline of certain scenes, especially the aerial shots and motorcycle chases.
In conclusion: if that 91-year-old heart still pumps blood at full speed, this movie is for you.
It didn't disappoint me. I was expecting a light film with plenty of adrenaline and a breakneck pace, and it delivered in spades.
The satire on social validation through likes, attention as currency, and influence as a popularity meter is a success, but only if you watch it through that lens. If not, what remains is a film to just go with the flow and enjoy without further pretensions.
I was pleasantly surprised by the use of semi-transparent texts showing the competitors' names and locations, as well as the images on the viewers' screens and the app interfaces: everything is very well resolved visually. The problem comes at the end, which leaves too many loose ends, and those gaps are quickly filled with flashy images and fairly predictable twists. That gives it a certain "comfort zone" feel within the young-adult thriller genre.

Es una pel铆cula que te lleva de la mano de una chica poco popular. Ella entra en una app para hacerse notar por el chico que le gusta. La historia es sencilla: al entrar en la app, te van mostrando retos que debes cumplir y transmitir en directo desde el m贸vil. Si los superas en un tiempo determinado, puedes reclamar una recompensa en met谩lico y avanzas al siguiente reto.
En realidad, cuando la protagonista entra en la app, t煤 tambi茅n entras en la pel铆cula. Te subes a su monta帽a rusa y, si parpadeas, pierdes el tren. El ritmo es trepidante y adictivo, y escena tras escena te mantiene en vilo.
Visualmente es un derroche de im谩genes espectaculares: Nueva York vista desde el aire y sus luces nocturnas brillando al fondo.
En las secuencias en las que vemos las pantallas de los espectadores siguiendo los directos (o el streaming), te sientes un aut茅ntico participante del juego.
Adem谩s, la cinta lanza una cr铆tica ligera pero muy certera a la cultura de la exposici贸n por likes y seguidores. Los actores resultan cre铆bles y, en los pasajes m谩s intensos, desprenden una qu铆mica genuina; se convierten en personajes honestos, reales y cercanos.

Si, en cambio, buscas puro entretenimiento, no esperes una pel铆cula lenta ni una reflexi贸n existencial sobre la vida. Est谩 hecha para tumbarse en el sof谩, picar algo y dejarse llevar por la velocidad y la adrenalina de ciertas escenas, especialmente las a茅reas y las persecuciones en moto.
En conclusi贸n: si en ese coraz贸n de 91 a帽os a煤n late sangre a toda velocidad, esta pel铆cula es para ti.
No me defraud贸. Esperaba una pel铆cula ligera, con mucha adrenalina y un ritmo trepidante, y cumpli贸 con creces.
La s谩tira sobre la validaci贸n social a trav茅s de los likes, la atenci贸n como moneda de cambio y la influencia como medidor de popularidad es un acierto, pero solo si se mira con esa lente. Si no, lo que queda es una cinta para dejarse llevar y disfrutar sin m谩s pretensiones.
Me sorprendi贸 gratamente el uso de textos semitransparentes con los nombres y ubicaciones de los competidores, as铆 como las im谩genes en las pantallas de los espectadores y las interfaces de la app: todo est谩 muy bien resuelto visualmente. El problema llega al final, que deja demasiados cabos sueltos, y esos vac铆os se tapan r谩pido con im谩genes vistosas y giros bastante predecibles. Eso le da un cierto regusto a "zona de confort" dentro del thriller juvenil.
