Everyone is a big hello! I hope the new year brought great things for all of us. In the first issue of 2018 I wanted to present you again by translating a guide. More Flawless Photographs, to capture; how we start and finish a project - we will transfer this process to you in seven steps.
First we have to analyze what is missing by looking at our own photo shoots. The first step in self-improvement is to identify and accept deficiencies. So by setting new targets, we can start learning new things to close those shortcomings. Yes, let's go through these 7 steps and start to produce better, more error-free projects than last year. 🙂
1- Set Goals and Take Notes
Yes, if you have expectations for the new year, you will do the same in the same way that you project and you will be photographed in your expectations, your goals must be. Keeping these goals in your head alone will not help you. You should take note of these goals. Write down your mobile phone, a note card, or any book you want with your order.
Take a look at this project and your goals often. Writing and throwing an edge and controlling these goals for a long time will be a behavior that will not benefit again. Often dream and control over your goals.
2- Try to Simplify Jobs
Putting very difficult and complicated targets will not train you. First, set simple goals that will make your business easier. For example, let's say you want to go astrophotography. Start at the simplest step. Set simple targets such as having the necessary equipment for astrophotography.
Learning these Equipments, analyzing which is more necessary, each of them can be your target. If you divide your targets into small pieces in this way, it will be easier to progress.
3- Take Action
You may not have progressed as hard as your goals. For example, if you want to work in the field of wildlife photography, this is your main goal. However, a good telephoto lens may be needed to accomplish this, and you may not have a budget for such a lens. In these situations, do not put all your goals in the nest. Keep doing your small goals until you reach your main goal.
For example, with a 50mm lens you can experiment in the garden. You can get theoretical training about natural life photography. Continue to research about it as if you have a telephoto lens. In this process, you will also learn your workout while accumulating your objective. Make experiments about how to approach them without scaring the animals in the land. What's important is getting close to your main goal. Sub-targets bring you closer to the finish line 🙂
4- Take a lot of photos
Whatever your project is or whatever your goal is, it is a constant fact that the more photos you take, the more technical you will develop. Practice is very important, both theoretically giving you a great experience in testing what you have learned and helping to shape your goals.
Extra time is something that many of you do not have; for this reason, as a photographer you should spend some time each day or at least every week to practice new skills you are learning.
5- Criticize Yourself But Do not Be Cruel
Many photographers are unfair to him. When things do not go as planned, our energy may be falling. In fact, these moments are very valuable to be a better photographer. The mistakes you make while creating your photos are learning opportunities, not failure.
6- Request Feedback
This is one of the most basic communication rules. "Feedback" is an excellent form of education for photography as it is in all areas of our lives. Although it may be a bit scary, your photos are a great way to get feedback, to define the areas you need to develop your skills and focus your attention.
7- Never Leave Learning (NSL)
I will call it NSL. I know this is the most cliché step of the list. However, camera, lens, composition, lighting and so on. Keeping up to date with things constantly improving yourself is even more important than all those listed.
This process is not fast and simple, give yourself time. Do not forget that your information will be much stronger as you stay faithful.
