The SEC and other regulatory bodies are causing havoc with the prices recently, everyone is buying and selling on news, and everyone thinks regulation is bad. (insert price dump)
Regulation will help all the newbies get into crypto and not get scammed at the first hurdle. You remember what it was like getting your first bitcoin? how hard it was. I actually gave up twice back in 2013 when i first tried to buy bitcoin, i still have my stupid photos of me holding my ID. Yes i'm still sore about it! haha
The scams are killing us, shitcoins, ico's and bitconects. I've been growing my Instagram account copious amounts recently, You should see the messages i'm getting it's actually a joke.* Invest 0.1 bitcoin and you'll get 0.5 bitcoin in 24 hours* Fucking seriously!
But i do love going along with it.
The funny thing is, I actually didn’t think anyone would get caught with these stupid scams but people do. My friend was streaming movies on his laptop and a pop up came up saying he’s got a virus, so he shit himself and in a panic rang the number on the ad.
A shady Indian guy answered saying he’s Apple tech support, so my friend does what the guy says and next minute please insert your pin here. Thanks very much the virus is gone.
My friend being a clued on type of guy, ends up going to the Apple store the next day to see if it was a scam. He was nearly laughed out of the shop, but they had to do it in a polite way.
I had to stop writing this, cracking up so much 😂😂
Lesson of the story, it does happen. And with no government behind crypto stopping these types of things, what do you think is going to happen?
Newcomers will get scammed it will destroy everything that’s happened so far. Look at Bitconnect, sorry had to bring it up.... again.
Having said all of the above, I believe in crypto.
We saw the December peak, boy it was good. I think we will get there after the regulation phase has ended, think of the big money. I believe it’s going to get worse before it gets better but when the dust settles, buy a lambo.
But hey no one knows, invest what you want. I ain’t your mum...
