One of Enigma's main fundamental advantages is that it's scalable since every node pretty much in the network needs to replicate and continuously update a copy of the blockchain. Each individual node only needs to store and make computations on a random piece of data. Enigma uses something known as a distributed hash table to quickly locate necessary data even if the network is bigger than normal.
