I was recently trying to buy a penny alt coin (BitBeans or BeanCash - BITB) to help introduce my kids to crypto and needed something fun to keep their attention, not too expensive, and not something overly complicated. After looking through dozens of coins, many of whom I could not believe even existed, I settled on BITB. It cost under .01 and even offers proof-of-stake, which means if you download the wallet and HODL the tokens there, you will get more coins like a crypto dividend. The wallet features cartoon humanoid beans with buble eyes, stick legs and hands, and huge Sailor Moon eyes... Not my typical choice for a crypto, but in this case it works.
We eventually found the only place we could get the little beans was on a site called Cryptopia. They are based in New Zealand and offer great features on their platform, which is much more than an exchange. It is fairly secure and offers 2-factor authentication and is more anonymous in that you don't need a driver license, bank statement, or bill to register. I literally did it in about 3 minutes. After registering and logging in, I found the site easy to navigate and could easily access the market. The set up is the same here, typical exchange and features, but the selection of coins is awesome, with tons of new penny alts, many under .01.
Another awesome feature is a crypto market where you can sell evryday goods in exchange for crypto! Awesome! Kind of like a crypto E-bay, you can take pictures and post goods with a price in crypto and items are auctioned off over a period of time, just like E-bay. You can transfer the profits to another wallet or use it to trade for more coins at the exchange. Its a great feature and as more people use the marketplace and the more selection of items, the better it will get.
Ultimately it was a great experience and I have since used the site often to get my alt coins as the fees are usually much lower than anywhere else. Even the BitBeans have been great, the kids learned about wallets, how to trade and buy crypto, even how to stake coins and save for future gains. The BitBeans sprout stalks and grow more bean pods, and then the little beans drop in your wallet. We've actually gotten a bunch of free coin, not worth much yet, but like I tell the kids, be patient! We will easily have doubled our coins in under a year. And the kids love those dang bean characters, they are pretty cute. Check them out as well.
If you like the idea of Cryptopia, check it out with the link below. You just need an email to sign up, you don't have to deposit any funds. Please use my link, I use the site often and get credits for referral, it would really help me out. Thanks guys, happy hunting!
