Here's a little assignment for you if you want. Take your next really dry document, like an operations manual or a customer service email and for your own fun, try and turn it into something creative.

Also keep searching youtube for creative writing tips. Try and find a writer who has similar tastes and styles to you. At first that won't seem obvious, but the more you watch others, the more you'll learn about yourself.
