Nestled amongst Ankara's old town, this restaurant offers delicious and traditional Turkish dishes. Even during Ramadan they catered to non-fasting guests. Welcome to Beylor Sofrasi

Busy Service

Due to the good location, the restaurant was busy and packed. We were served quickly by a waitor and shortly after the salad starters arrived.

Kebab

We ordered two different style of döner recommended by our friend.

Cannelloni-like Döner

The döner meat (mutton cooked on vertical rotisserie) is filled in a flat bread (lavaş). Then it's rolled and cut up, topped with tomato paste and cheese. It reminded me very much of the cannelloni Italian dish.

Buttery sauce Döner

The döner meat is served on cut up pieces of bread (oops, can't see in the photo!), and topped with a buttery tomato paste sauce. It was full of tomato and buttery flavour, we needed more bread to finish off the sauces on the plate.

Price

Our meal was fairly priced given our location, the quality and quantity of the food. It was 27 Lira per döner dish. The salad and sides dishes were complimentary.
